Marcel Ayala
Marcel Ayala is a Mexican artist fascinated with the human figure. His paintings reflect that fascination. He loves painting animals and includes them in most of his paintings. Marcel’s paintings are the result of his observation of nature and society. He uses a lot of symbolism to send messages to viewer. The mediums he uses are acrylic and oils, but primarily oils because he considers these materials to last longer. Marcel also represent his work through sculpture, birds, animals, fantasy, dragons, and the human figure. Marcel has always admired the greatest masters of the Renaissance like Sandro Botticelli, Raphael, Caravaggio, Rubens and the greatest Mexican Muralists like Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco, Joan O’Gorman, Jorge Gonzalez Camarena, and Saturnino Herran. Marcel believes a painting has to have a meaning, beauty, portray sound, and be professional. A painting has to speak by itself and communicate a message to people. Marcel paints his feelings and the way he perceives the world around him. Marcel Ayala has exhibited at the Sheridan Library where he also participated as a volunteer teaching kids drawing and acrylic painting by painting a mural on canvas. He also exhibited at The MOA, Museum of Outdoors in Littleton, CO.
Marcel currently lives in Denver.
